CHICKEN ZAFRANI PULLAO

Ingredients:
 
1 kg chicken(with bones)
2 medium sized onions fine chopped
3 pods of garlic minced
1 good piece ginger minced
8 cloves
1 stick cinnamon
1/4 gram PURE SPANISH SAFFRON
5-6 tiny
dried red chillies crushed


METHOD:


heat a good pan and add some
desi gheee... when melted add the cloves and cinnamon stick. then add
the finely chopped onions n fry till transparent. VERY IMPORTANT DO NOT
BROWN THE ONION. then add your chicken pieces and the ginger garlic
  sautetill all the water from the chicken dries up and flesh is nice n
pink. add crushed red chillies and the saffron. u will see the color
changing. add salt to taste, u can add more SAFFRON if you desire a
stronger flavor and color. add 1 cup pre soaked basmati rice and about 2
cups of water. cook it all together till done, when nearly done squeeze
the juice of 1 lime and add some coriander leaves and some more strands
of SAFFRON if desired.
its a delicately flavored rice. it doesn't
need any raita or pickle as its  very flavorful, if desired u can
sprinkle some garam masala on the top b4 serving
